Diversity and inclusion as a business imperative
With 68,000 employees in nearly fifty countries, MetLife knows that attracting, developing, and retaining a diverse workforce that reflects our customers and communities around the world and driving a culture of inclusion are essential to the way we do business. The unique backgrounds and fresh perspectives of our employees ignite innovation while helping us succeed together in making a difference in the lives of our customers.
Our Global Diversity and Inclusion Council, chaired by our president and CEO Steve Kandarian, drives the execution of our diversity and inclusion strategy, which focuses on key initiatives to foster gender, racial, and ethnic diversity. Our Global Women’s Initiative aims to attract, develop, and advance women at MetLife. In addition, we are focused on growing our diversity business resource networks, including our group Global Multicultural Professionals, which includes representation from our Hispanic employees. Our ongoing efforts have been recognized externally by several groups, including the LATINA Style 50 report.
MetLife is proud to join The Alumni Society as one of the driving forces to bring Latino leaders together for an annual leadership summit. We look forward to continuing our collaboration to bring this powerful network together to celebrate and recognize the accomplishments of the Hispanic community.
